Things You should know

The appointment system at Fine Orthodontics has been designed to reduce wait times and maximise consultation times with Dr. Fine.

When You Arrive at Our Surgery

When you visit our surgery, you can check in using our handy computer service, or speak to one of the receptionists who will let Dr. Fine know you are ready for your appointment.

Before and After-School Appointments

We understand that younger patients may need an appointment before or after school, and we are happy to accommodate them.

We always reserve our early morning and later afternoon slots for shorter appointments, like adjustments or check-ups. Most orthodontic appointments are short. You can book other times of the day for longer appointments, such as the fitting and removal of braces, doctor consultations, or more complex adjustments.

If you require a medical certificate for school or work, just let us know and our team will provide one.

LATE
ARRIVALS

If you are running late for your appointment, but it still falls within your scheduled slot, please report to the receptionist as soon as you arrive. We will tell you whether you can still have your treatment, or if you need to book another appointment.

Canceling
AN APPOINTMENT

We do understand that things may occur, and you need to cancel your appointment. Please call the practice as soon as you know you won’t be able to attend during your allotted slot and we will arrange an alternative time.

The more notice you are able to give us, the more likely we are to find a time and date that suits you and doesn’t delay your treatment.

REPAIR
APPOINTMENT

Once you receive your orthodontic appliance, you will get care instructions to ensure it remains in the best possible condition. If you follow these instructions, your appliance is more likely to remain intact.

Should your appliance break, we will revert to lighter wires, which will likely delay your orthodontic treatment.

If your appliance does break, please book a repair appointment immediately. This is a complex adjustment and usually takes some time. We may not be able to carry out this work during an early morning or late afternoon slot.
